Alber Elbaz said that his Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 collection was based on certain women in Paris who are never without their leopard coat. To me, this collection just screams Little Edie. From the rich furs, to the turbans and head scarves. It is a refined Edie, like if she got a rich sugar daddy. She now can afford new things but still is attached to her old ways. You can take the girl out of Grey Gardens, but you can't take Grey Gardens out of the girl.
