Top Ten of Fall 2010-2011

Sex, sex, sex. Joseph Altuzarra is giving us carnal sin in clothing form. You want to have sex in his clothes and have sex with them. With a front row consisting of Carine Roitfeld, Anna Wintour, Samantha and Victoria Traina, Vladimir and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Giovanna Battaglia, and Julia von Boehm it's easy to see that everyone wants a little bit of this kind of sex. Gone was the hippie chick of last season and this season it was all about his inspiration from Edward Scissorhands and, oddly enough, fairy tales. It seemed like Little Red Riding Hood had decided to sexually torture the wolf.
Now to the clothes, we had every member of PETA's nightmare. Chubby furs and lots of leather. Done is cut up dresses and pants. The leatherwork was amazing. Sewn together in a hap-hazard way that only made it more raw and sexy. Some of the slashes only had large lengths of string holding them together. The furs were something that Kate Moss dreams of. Chubby and luxe. The figure was cut with leather corsets and strong shoulders. The hemline was a sharp V up to almost the crotch. Then at the end we got what everyone loves, the evening gowns. Refined in red velvet and jersey they were slashed and strapped to the models bodies with the passion only those who read Paris Vogue know.
Watch out for Joseph Altuzarra, he IS the next Tom Ford. Also, expect Vanessa Traina, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, and Carine Roitfeld to wear his dresses at the MET Gala in May. I'm calling it now.
