The Way of The Future

Who's Who in 2011

Tom Ford
Tom Ford will take over the world in 2011. With his new womenswear line hitting stores expect it to be thee collection of the year. His return has garnered major press from Paris Vogue to UK Harper's Bazaar, everyone wanted to talk to him and about him and this year will only amplify his profile in the world. Oh and did I mention the rumored line with H&M?

Taylor Tomasi-Hill
Her profile skyrocketed this year due to her effortlessly chic ensembles at the shows. Also rumors are flying everywhere about the Marie Claire Style and Accessories Directors next move. Word has it she is being considered to be the next Fashion Director of Barney's and she might have a role as a judge on the new accessories version of Project Runway.

Rachel Zoe
With her baby coming this year expect Rachel Zoe to shift her focus to long term projects such as her lifestyle line. This can be the year Rachel makes herself the Martha Stewart of the fashion industry with her line for QVC and her daily style guide The Zoe Report. Not to mention another great year of stylish appearances from all of her "girls".

Candice Swanepoel
The general consensus for this next year is that Candice will take over the high fashion world. Like other VS Angels before her expect her to hit the runways during fashion week and score some big name editorials and covers. She does have Mario Testino's backing which means everything.

Ginta Lapina
Ok, I'm a little bias because she is one of my endorsed models but Ginta Lapina will make herself known in 2011. Already this year she has scored campaigns for Sportmax and Marc by Marc Jacobs in addition to her work with Victoria's Secret. I expect to see her walk the VS runway this year and land on the cover of a Vogue.

Haider Ackermann
With Karl Lagerfeld naming him as his ideal replacement at Chanel the focus was immediately on Haider Ackermann. Now word is he might be replacing Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent. Expect Ackermann to prove to the world what the hype is about in 2011.

Jacqueline Jablonski
Again, another one of "my girls" Jacqueline had a hell of a 2010. With all the exposure she got in 2010 I fully expect some major covers and a beauty contract for this fresh faced American teen.
Anna Dello Russo
ADR exploded in 2010 so I expect her to use all that exposure to make herself one of the top fashion influencers in 2011. I see another collaboration with yoox.com and perhaps more collaborations? Also I expect more and more profiles on the ever interesting "fashion maniac" and a shift in work to a more major magazine in a much higher capacity.

Joanna Hillman
Much like Taylor Tomasi-Hill, Joanna Hillman gained her own fame in 2010 due to her amazingly put together style during fashion week. Expect her to become a giant presence in 2011 and a few interesting profile pieces on her. I also hope to see her take on some new work to boost her profile in the fashion world.

Julia Saner
Yet another one of my girls, Julia is in for a hell of a year in 2011. So far this year she has nabbed a Valentino campaign and a position in the Louis Vuitton pre-fall lookbook. I fully expect her to appear in American Vogue along with other editions and for her to nab more campaigns and major editorials.

Joseph Altuzarra
His creative consultant is Vanessa Traina, his stylist is Melanie Hunyh. His fans include Carine Roitfeld, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Lauren Santo Domingo, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Leighton Meester, and Mary J. Blige. It's obvious very different women from very different walks of life can find one thing in common: wanting to look hot. That's what Joseph does, he makes women look hot. Look for his collections to be more innovative and more high profile in this coming year and expect to see more than a few starlets work his looks on the red carpet.

Carine Roitfeld
Carine is done with Paris Vogue this year so expect all eyes and I mean all eyes to be on her to see her next move. The year will be filled with a million questions about the taste makers next move.
