Top Ten of Fall 2010-2011

This collection is being touted at Stefano Pilati's ode to the late Yves Saint Laurent, which is clear to me. With this use of 60's silhouettes and bold colors this collection jumps around the span of time as something that could be worn in any decade. While mostly black and white, Stefano's use of colors at the end of the show was just the pop that it needed. The colors were rich and the tailoring was perfect.
The shoes, bags and jewelry are quickly becoming this houses bread and butter. While most of us have tired of the Muse bag and the Tribute shoes, you cannot deny when they first came out we all loved them. YSL showed its now signature platform this season with a twist, hair. They had black shoes with tufts of hair on the heels and toes along with bright blue shoes with the same fur. The same bright blue color came in the form of studded cuffs and gloves also in hot pink and other colors.
Overall this collection was one of the most chic and wearable of the season. Without knowing what city you were in or who was the designer you would know this was 100% Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.
