Like A Dream

There are a few constants in my world of what I like. I like couture, I like the drama that couture clothes create, I also like Giambattista Valli. What do you get when you combine those things into a collection? A pure fantastical, couture, dream. From the skirts, to the coats, to the gowns, to the shoes, it was like old school 60's couture had made it's return. For those who say couture is dead, Valli shows how it can be like it was and focused on construction and not focused on being so flashy and over the top in a bid to gain attention. The Real Royal Wedding

Congratulations to the one and only Kate Moss on her marriage to Jamie Hince of The Kills (my favorite band, by the way). I wish them only happiness and joy in their new married life and can't wait to see the pictures from the festivities, including Mosstock, in the September issue of Vogue shot by Mario Testino.

On a side note, do you guys remember when we all thought she was going to marry (or had already married) Pete Doherty, oh my god, it seems like a million years ago.

I'm sure if you have read this blog frequently you will know how much I love Hedi Slimane. This latest editorial from Vogue Japan just solidifies my love. His images are raw and harsh yet somehow soft and glamourous. He really captures what seems to be the soul of his subjects and he always manages to create a sense of emotion from his images. I'm just so in love with his work, it's almost pathetic.
