Model Citizen

While some may say that models are stupid and self-centered, Liya Kebede is proving them wrong. She has been included in Time Magazine's list of the top 100 most influential people of 2010. Not only was she on the list, she was put in the "Heros" section along with the likes of Bill Clinton and former Iranian Prime Minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi. With a beautifully written essay by Tom Ford, Liya stands out as one of two people from the fashion industry being recognized (the other being Marc Jacobs).

Really MK&A?

I have always respected the Olsen sisters for their style and their business sense. However, when I was looking through their latest lookbook for Elizabeth and James I couldn't help but feel like it was anything but original. In general, it looks like a giant rip off of Rag & Bone, Proenza Schouler, and Alexander Wang. However, a few pieces I recognized almost immediately as something that was, ahem, "inspired" by other designers.
