Also the accessories this season were something new and different as well. The shoes were like high fashion wellies, rubber toes and all. He managed to take that style of boot and turn it into a cool heel covered in satin. The bags, of course, are to die for. Look for someone notable to be rocking the structured yellow leather bag with leopard lining.

Top Ten of Fall 2010-2011
Karl Lagerfeld's work at Fendi is really touch and go with me. I either love it, or I don't. This season, I am all about what he is doing. With his creative use of fur and draping of fabrics to create a new silhouette is what really sold me on this collection. The way that he used retro references (such as the hair, and some of the shapes) and made them seem like they were completely new (such as taking a cocoon jacket and lining it with goat hair) is something that very few can actually do. He made patchwork fur coats actually look expensive rather than something only a hooker stuck in the 70's would wear. Also the rich colors he used such as fatigue green, mustard yellow, and the rich browns of the furs made this collection seem very warm. Of course there are the dresses at the end. Peek-a-boo dresses made of draped organza that are sure to get just as much play in the real world as they are on the glossy pages.

Top Ten of Fall 2010-2011
This collection is being touted at Stefano Pilati's ode to the late Yves Saint Laurent, which is clear to me. With this use of 60's silhouettes and bold colors this collection jumps around the span of time as something that could be worn in any decade. While mostly black and white, Stefano's use of colors at the end of the show was just the pop that it needed. The colors were rich and the tailoring was perfect.
The shoes, bags and jewelry are quickly becoming this houses bread and butter. While most of us have tired of the Muse bag and the Tribute shoes, you cannot deny when they first came out we all loved them. YSL showed its now signature platform this season with a twist, hair. They had black shoes with tufts of hair on the heels and toes along with bright blue shoes with the same fur. The same bright blue color came in the form of studded cuffs and gloves also in hot pink and other colors.
Overall this collection was one of the most chic and wearable of the season. Without knowing what city you were in or who was the designer you would know this was 100% Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.

Top Ten of Fall 2010-2011
Hello everyone, glad to be back at school and blogging again. For the next ten days I will be giving a new pick for my top then of fall. Hope you all agree with me!
For Emilio Pucci this season Peter Dundas stuck with the idea of the hippie rocker chick. The shoes? Amazing. The fabrics? Wonderfully subdued. And the sequined minis? Sure to get their fair share of red carpet and party play. Peter is taking Pucci from the tacky to the refined (sorry Matthew Williamson). It is quickly emerging as a serious collection for party girls and working women. His use of pant suits this season screams Bianca Jagger in her 70's hey-day yet they can easily be taken into the working world too. His furs are to die for and can easily brighten up even the coldest and darkest winter days.
